Kenedy XC Comes To An EndThe District 30 2A Champion Kenedy Leopards competed at Dugan Stadium, Monday, October 28, down in Corpus Christi at the Regional Cross Country meet and placed 18th. Lupe Bucio ran her best time, 13:26, and finished 22nd overall, finishing 2 places (and 6 seconds) from qualifying for the State Meet in 2 weeks. Heaven Garza finished 70th, Jadelynn Olmedo 94th, Hailey Havron 124th, and Alejandra Hernandez 144th. The Leopards should be very strong next year losing only 1 senior, Hailey Havron, and gaining another 14 minute runner from junior high, Lupe's sister Viri. Congratulations Leopards and good luck in your next sports.

The Lions also competed at the Regional Meet and placed 16th overall. Anthony Diaz led the Lions finishing 47th, while Mason Diaz placed 73rd, Damon Rosales 109th, Adrian Flores 124th, and Morris Brown 138th. The Lions also only lose 1 senior in Anthony Diaz, and should be strong next year gaining 2 strong runners from junior high. Congratulations Lions, commit, get better, and good luck in your next sports
