Kenedy ISD receives a letter grade of B

On August 15th, the Texas Education Agency released A-F Accountability ratings for districts.  Districts received a grade or rating based on performance in three areas:

  • Student Achievement

  • School Progress

  • Closing the Gaps

Kenedy ISD received a letter grade of B, with a standard score of 82!

Overall areas for the district were rated as follows:

Student Achievement Domain - C

Academic Growth Rating - C

Relative Performance Rating - B

Resolved Rating - B

Closing the Gaps Rating - B

 

While district ratings are based on an A–F scale, the 2018 rating labels for individual campuses will continue under the Met Standard, Met Alternative Standard or Improvement Required labels. The A–F rating labels will be applied to campuses at the end of the upcoming school year.

 

Individual campuses earned scaled scores as follows:

KHS earned a campus overall scaled score of 76=MET STANDARD

KMS earned a campus overall scaled score of 72=MET STANDARD

KES earned a campus overall scaled score of 91=MET STANDARD

KES also earned the following distinctions:  

*Academic Progress  *Closing Gaps *Science Achievement  *Post-Secondary Readiness
