KHS Volleyball Leopards Moving ForwardOn Tuesday September 4, the Kenedy Leopards faced the Luling Eagles and put on quite a show.
Jv started off the match and came up with a win in 2 sets with scores of: 25-22, 25-12.
The JV Leopards competed in the Pettus Tournament on September 6 and 8 and received consolation after defeating Tilden and Woodsboro on Saturday.

We are extremely proud of our JV Leopards for their performance on Tuesday and Saturday. We are working with our younger athletes on becoming consistent in all areas of play!
"Although the Varsity Leopards fell to the Leopards after a tight 5th set, the girls played so tremendously well. My heart was filled with joy after this game seeing all the hard work we put into practice exhibited during this match. I was not disappointed with a loss, although any team would wish it would end up on their side. The way we played was phenomenal and I was very satisfied with the way my girls played."
The match points are as follows:
25-19 (K)
18-25 (L)
25-21 (K)
13-25 (L)
14-16 (L)
Individual Stats Include:
Destiny Barrientez: 6 digs, 1 tip.
Ali Mireles: 18 digs, 4 kils, 2 tips, 4 blocks 2 aces
Lorena Bucio Morales: 5 digs
Gabby Martinez: 15 digs, 1 kill, 1 ace
Vanessa Garcia: 11 digs, 5 kills, 1 ace.
Bri Morales: 2 digs
Camryn Garza: 15 digs, 16 assists, 2 tips, 2 aces
Mary Summerlin: 5 digs, 5 kills, 5 tips, 2 aces
Larissa Miller: 16 digs, 7 kills, 3 tips, 3 aces.

Friday September 7th the Leopards traveled to Nordheim to take on the Pirates. Unfortunately Nordheim took the match as well in 4 sets.

"Friday we did not show up to play it seems or went in over confident. We are working on staying consistent and have agreed to never let the style of play we exhibited on this day, which was a huge 180 flip from Tuesday, happen to us again. We had too many missed serves, did not want to move, never developed a rhythm and when we did we would fall short. This is not to undermine our opponent. Nordheim deserved to win this one with how they showed up to play."
Individual Stats for the match include:
