CNA Class Tours Hospital

 By Mari Gonzales

On October 15, the CNA class took a trip to Otto Kaiser Memorial Hospital for a tour of the new buildings. The class was the first one to be able to tour the facility. Students were able to see behind the scenes and talk to the people in that department. The group was able to learn how certain things are done, how equipment works and meet the people with whom one day they might be working.

A few of the departments that they saw were Physical Therapy, Phlebotomy, the ER, the Wellness Center and other small places that are used to help save lives. The CNA class had a lot of fun.

"We got to look at a possible job place for us,” says Jessica Hernandez after the trip. “We had a lot of fun and got to see some cool equipment,” Frank Perales commented about the trip. “I hope to work there one day; it would be a really cool place to start!” Zoey Guerra and Jacy Hartsfield told us excitedly.
