Possible Exposure COVID-19Parents and Staff,
Kenedy ISD has been notified that a staff member who works for our district has had direct exposure to an individual who recently tested positive for COVID-19.  The staff member is currently self-quarantining at home, is not displaying any symptoms of the virus and has not tested positive for the virus.  The person is being tested and Kenedy ISD will follow protocols to notify anyone we believe may have been exposed to this particular staff member.

Kenedy ISD is currently being thoroughly cleaned and sanitized by our custodial staff.

We will suspend the distribution of meals to students for the week of June 29 – July 3 and will resume when we know it is safe to do so.
Schools and offices will be closed for the week of June 29 – July 3, as previously planned for the 4th of July holiday.

Strength and Conditioning Camp for Kenedy Lions and Leopards will also be canceled for the week of June 29 – July 3.
We will closely monitor the situation and provide information as necessary.

Out of an abundance of caution, we advise you to monitor your health, follow the CDC guidelines, and contact your primary care physician if you develop symptoms.

Kenedy ISD will continue to monitor this situation and will provide additional information as needed. We are prepared to do whatever it takes to keep our KISD family #KenedySafe and #KenedyStrong.
