Chromebook Blocked Issue (Solution)

If you are getting the following error on your Kenedy ISD issued chromebook:

request to the server has been blocked by an extension 

Try disabling your extensions 

Err_blocked_by_client 

 

Or if any website you are trying to visit is being blocked or disconnected please follow these steps.


In order to resolve this issue, you must come up to the Kenedy ISD campus to have your laptop sync with our campus servers. Unfortunately, this is an issue with ATT and some other mobile providers that we have no control over. This is the only solution at this time.


  1. Drive up to the Kenedy ISD Secondary campus parking lot with:
        - Your Kenedy ISD Chromebook (Make sure it is charged)
        - Your student or their Kenedy ISD login information (Username and Password)
        - Your Technology Instructional Packet that came with your chromebook *optional*

    *Park somewhere near the campus to get enough WiFi signal strength. YOU DO NOT NEED TO GET OUT OF YOUR CAR.

  2. Sign out of your chromebook

  3. “Shut down” your chromebook after you “Sign Out”

  4. Then Power the chromebook back on

  5. Sign into your chromebook again.

  6. Once signed in, if not already open, open Chrome

  7. Try to access google.com, gmail.com or classroom.google.com by typing it in the address bar (Please see technology instructional packet that was issued with your chromebook if you need assistance logging in)

  8. If you are able to access these sites you're problem should be resolved.
