KENEDY ISDThe mission of Kenedy ISD is to inspire, prepare and educate students by personalizing the learning experience in order to achieve each student's vision for the future.  Together as a team of students, parents, staff and community this mission is accomplished.

SUPERINTENDENT'S MESSAGE

Superintendent Diana Barrera
Hello! It gives me great pleasure to serve as the Superintendent of Schools for Kenedy ISD. I bring administrative experience at the Central Office level from two school districts. In Somerset ISD, I served as Executive Director of Elementary Curriculum, overseeing various grants and programs, and supporting the leadership, curriculum and instruction at the elementary campuses. I am most proud of my work with the Gifted and Talented program, Bilingual/ESL program and Response to Intervention program, and working with colleagues to develop processes and procedures to standardize expectations and improve student outcomes. I had the good fortune to learn from amazing leaders, both formal and informal, and plan to implement this learning with my new family at Kenedy ISD. Before my work at central office, I worked as a campus principal for ten years, an assistant principal for three years, and I spent eleven years teaching elementary students.
